In 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 a video game based in a future where cybernetic enhancements to the human body are more common than not released to the dismay of many. Fans were incredibly excited before the release and they were greeted with one of the most buggy games created in recent years. It was a mess thousands of refunds were given and the game was even taken off the shelves by Playstation.
The news of an anime set in the same universe as that game was therefore welcomed with a great deal of animosity. But in the end, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners won our affection and turned out to be one of the best animes to come out in 2022.
It’s not really a hot take to claim that phase four of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is of rather questionable quality. Since the beginning of the phase, there has been a lot of unfavorable criticism from the community, and for good reason. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, however, stands out as one of Marvel’s best recent releases.
This show is highly polarizing; from what I’ve observed, viewers either think it’s the worst thing they’ve ever seen or think it’s the best. Of course, it is all subjective, but it just feels like an average series that was enjoyable to watch every week, similar to many of the MCU shows that have come before.
There’s been a general consensus that these marvel shows are a bit lacking when compared to the films. They haven’t really had a show that has reached the height that the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) has had in the past. However, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law may prove to break the mold only time will tell but it’s on to a great start!
Recently, Disney has been attempting to capitalize on some of its most successful animated films with live-action counterparts. Most lack the personality and quality of their initial debuts. Mulan (2020) is the worst live-action remake the big-eared mouse has ever produced, and I’m not sure how they managed to ruin a classic.
